Dr. Hoffbeck will present information about various quests to find the true sources of the Mississippi. The talk will include an outline of the supposed sources of the 'Mighty Mississippi,' and a practical look at the geography of the Continental Divide. Some attention will be given to the exploits of Giacomo Beltrami and his contributions to history will be evaluated in a new light. Dr. Hoffbeck grew up on a dairy farm and has written two books, "The Haymakers: A Chronicle of Five Farm Families" and "Swinging For The Fences: Black Baseball in Minnesota." What is Reiki? Reiki (pronounce ray-key) is the Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy. The term "Reiki" is used to describe a non-directive hands on healing technique that is used to restore balance and promote healing on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Bring your lunch to this free event and learn more about this practice. Dr. Donna Morris has almost 40 years of teaching experience at the college level. During that time she has taught and participated in numerous continuing education courses. Her clinical area of expertise is nursing, with a special focus on women's health. This Brown Bag is a preview to the Reiki Level 1 class that will take place on April 24.

| OSHA Construction Safety Course | 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm | Optivation - General Events | ||
This course takes place over March 23, 24, and 25. This 10 hour course from the OSHA Training Institute is designed for private sector personnel who are interested in developing safety and health programs in the construction industry. Special emphasis is placed upon those areas in construction that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. OSHA Training Institute will issue course completion cards to each student.
