Jane Mueller, Beltrami County's GIS Director, will be demonstrating the county's interactive web mapping capabilities. Topics will include how to search for features (i.e. parcels, addresses, lakes, cemeteries, etc.), understanding and using air photos, using tools to define measurements, adding annotation to a map, adding a point using known latitude and longitude coordinates or finding the coordinates from a map, generating mailing labels of parcel owners, and how to print or save maps to your computer. Everyone who deals with any aspect of land features (realtors, appraisers, recreationalists, and many more) will find this demonstration interesting and learn many useful applications to aid them in their work or personal lives.
