Social Media Strategist Certification Prep Course:
As social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and dozens of others have become dominant forms of communication for millions of people, their importance in the workplace has grown as well. Social media is becoming a vital way for businesses to promote themselves and their products, increase their visibility and recruit new clients. Many businesses are hiring dedicated social media managers to fill this need. The number of social media manager jobs has increased by 48 percent over the last year, and there are dozens of openings for these positions just in Minnesota alone. The certificate course to become a Certified Social Media Strategist will be taught by Eric Mills, president of the National Institute for Social Media (NISM). Students will learn the knowledge and skills to take the NISM Social Media Strategist exam and earn a certificate that will validate foundational skills needed to strategically operate social networks in a business environment and open new employment opportunities.

The cost of the course is $105 and for those whose inspector certification is set to expire or has expired in the last six months.There is a limit of thirty (30) participants and the course is filled on a first come first served basis.The course will take place at the Northwest Technical College
