NW Regional Small Business Development Center Congratulates Clients

Congratulations to Laurie Martin.   Laurie purchased Francis Allen Floral in downtown Bemidji and will take over as new owner on May 30.   The Small Business Development Center helped Laurie with her Business Plan and her Cash Flow analysis as part of her loan packaging.   Good luck Laurie!

Good Luck to Shots and Thoughts Photography. 115 North Main Crookston.   Noelle Lehner is the owner and will provide family and children portrait photography. The Small Business Development Center’s satellite office out of Thief River Falls helped Noelle with her Business Plan and Cash Flow and helped her with a Marketing plan.

The Small Business Development Center located at the Center for Research and Innovation has a business resource library for anyone looking for helpful resources.   There are information packets and many free guides to starting business and other resources for daily business operation.   For more information call the SBDC at (218) 755-4900.

Luncheon for Safety Professionals Offered

The Center for Research and Innovation has teamed up with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to bring training to professionals assigned to monitor safety in their organization.  The session scheduled on June 25 at the CRI will address confined space and the issues related to it.  Discussion on the newer rules pertaining to identifying confined spaces, classifying them as permit or non-permit required spaces, and how it may be legal to re-classify permit required spaces to non-permit spaces. Presentations will also include the roles of workers involved in permit required confines spaces and the requirements of rescue personal availability, training and notification.

Second Session of Census Training is added at the Center for Research and Innovation

Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation invites you to learn how to access the Census data quickly, conveniently and without headaches.   Staff from Minnesota Planning will teach you how to find answers to your questions using a variety of tools.

Motorcycle Safety Training Offered in Bemidji

Northland Community and Technical College, Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center and the Center for Research and Innovation are teaming up to offer training for new and experienced motorcycle riders.  All training courses will be held at the Bemidji School District Bus Garage on West 15th Street in Bemidji.  Sessions still available include:
