Crucial Conversations
Presenting is Dr. Jan Guggenheimer, Clinical Director of Counseling at the Student Center for Health and Counseling at BSU.  Crucial Conversations is a workshop designed to provide information, understanding and strategies for the most effective communication in all kinds of relationships and situations.  This workshop will help you understand yourself better regarding style and possible roadblocks for effective and helpful communication, even when dealing with difficult situations. "Non-profits: Today and Beyond"
The 2008 Nonprofit Conference is a full day of training and presentations offered by the "Essentials Training Team." The conference will cover topic areas that have been identified by local nonprofit leaders as areas of need when it comes to nonprofit training and address the critical issues that nonprofit organizations face. Participants in these sessions will experience an interactive, experiential learning of the program focus areas. Academy of Lifelong Learning is Gearing Up for Fall Series
The fall series of Academy of Lifelong Learning is making final arrangements to begin the fall series of learning programs, which will begin in September.  Programs include "The Story of Minnesota's Founding - Its Heroes and Rascals" to "Understanding the World of 3D Stereoscopic Imaging", and so much more. The full schedule will be included with the fall newsletter due out later this month.  Watch for it.
