POST Certified Computer Forensics Course - Online April 20
In this 4 week online Training Session, individuals will learn the fundamental principles and concepts in computer forensics. The topics include: the differing data file structures, the procedure of discovering and preserving evidence, and methods of searching and retrieving evidence using software tools. Related legal procedures and reports are also discussed briefly. Participants will conduct a minimum of 1 hands-on practice Case during the training session. Once completed, this training session should allow a basic understanding of the process, policies, and software needs to conduct a computer forensics analysis. This course is approved for 45 credits from Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The course will run online April 20 through May 11, 2009. "What's New in Word 2007?" - Online April 20

This one-week course is designed to assist users of previous versions of Word become comfortable and efficient using Word 2007. The course focuses on the program's new user interface. The purpose of the course is to help the experienced Microsoft Word PC user transition quickly to Word 2007. The primary emphasis will be on the user interface but there will also be tips regarding some of the new functions available. This course is designed for people familiar with a previous version of Word who wish to quickly migrate to Word 2007, with a minimum learning curve. This course is scheduled to be offered April 20 through April 27, 2009. More information and a registration form are online.

Fundraising for Non-profits - RESCHEDULED for April 24

There never seems to be enough money for non-profit institutions. Many find themselves stretched to the limits or find it difficult to meet unforeseen expenditures. This course offers alternatives to selling products in order to raise funds. Helpful strategies as well as specific events and other vehicles for fundraising will be shared with the participants. Join Dr. Charles Alberti present some unique fundraising ideas for implementation. Dr. Alberti was president of the Kansas chapter for the National Society of Fundraising Executives where he became certified with the designation of NSFRE. He served on the National board of this organization and co-authored a book on special events fundraising. The course will be offered Friday, April 24 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Center for Research and Innovation. This course will award .6 CEU's upon completion. Time Management - RESCHEDULED for May 1
This program will focus on personal time management skills that are essential for effective people to function. Individuals who use the techniques offered in this program will profit by becoming high achievers in all types of workplaces, in fields such as education, business or public service. The techniques presented will help the participants take control of their workload at work as well as at home and will reduce the stress associated with being busy, but not productive. This course will be lead by Dr. Charles Alberti who taught workshops on Time Management for several years at Bemidji State University in Minnesota and other institution in Illinois. First Annual RESN Conference - May 5
This guided symposium will spark enthusiasm, innovation and determination in the spirits of the is regions business owners and business leaders.This one-day event will begin with a keynote address summarizing the focused topics that must be scrutinized in today's business environment.The remainder of the day will be spent walking through these topics with regional experts guiding leaders through the web of crucial themes helping leaders build a plan of action to revitalize and invigorate their business.Topics include marketing, employment law, regional economic update, capitalizing on employees' strengths and more.The event will be held at the Hungry Bear Event Center in Bemidji. Business Grammar - Online June 1
Instructor Rick Demers will teach writing skills as well as building confidence, this course will remind the business writer of the most usable business punctuation and the most common errors in business writing; it will introduce them to a formula for understanding sentence construction, make them aware of proof reading tips and strategies, and instruct them on the most common word usage errors. This is a non-credit course offering running June 1 through June 28, 2009. Two (2.0) CEU's will be awarded to all learners successfully completing the course. Residential Energy Auditor Training
This five-day course provides basic training in how to assess the potential for improving home energy efficiency and comfort. The Residential Energy Auditor program is suited for employees or individuals who are performing or interested in utility sponsored residential energy conservation audits and working with the low-income weatherization program. It also provides the technical skills for building contractors to add a residential energy efficiency line of business. A certification examination of the State of Minnesota's minimum qualifications for residential energy auditors will be included with the cost of registration.

The Healing Touch Certificate Program is a multi-level course of study in energy-based therapy that moves from beginning to advanced practitioner and is complementary to heath care. The program incorporates a variety of energy-based modalities that are sequenced in Levels 1 through 5, allowing participants to progress from beginner to practitioner.Students receive a certificate of completion at each level.Upon completion of levels 1-5 and additional requirements, students are eligible to apply for certification through Healing Touch International, Inc.
