Optivation now has a new online registration and payment system!

The new system streamlines the payment and registration process for students to self register and pay online without the need to be billed later. Credit card payments can be taken online instantly, through this system. We also offer the option to pay with cash or check by contacting us at 218-755-4900.

 

Workplace Coaching Series- Unit One

This is part one (1) of a four (4) part series for Workplace Coaching. Each unit lasts 3 hours at Bemidji State University in Bridgeman Hall room 204. This course covers: creating a coaching culture, establishing expectation, using an adult learning approach to coaching, coaching on the fly, and the effect on generational diversity on coaching. Unit two course starts on October 18th, unit three starts on October 25th and the final unit starts on November 1st.  The fee for this course is $100 for the series and runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Commercial Vehicle Inspector Re-Certification

The cost of the course is $100 and for those whose inspector certification is set to expire or has expired in the last six months. There is a limit of thirty (30) participants and the course is filled on a first come first served basis. For more information, click here.

Performance Appraisals

This course addresses human resource topics including; reward systems, performance management, and retention from a strategic perspective. It will teach business managers how to retain good employees and coach for improved performance through the use of an employee performance management system. This course will discuss the importance of improving and correcting employee performance, as well as what to know when discipline and termination becomes necessary. OBJECTIVES: By the end of this course, students will: -be familiar with different methods of performance appraisals -learn skills for coaching performance - discover ways to speak each employees "reward" language-be aware of needed documentation should termination become necessary -develop a corrective action and reward plan -develop a performance appraisal form.
